The other reviewers middling much hitting the spots that taken hit.
The keyboard is a short loud, sure, merely apart from that it is merely nigh perfect. I’ve incessantly liked the old IBM clicky keyboards. Typing on this reminds me of those, which I consider is awesome.
The touchpad was *kinda* weird, only I went used to it apace (have received the machine for near 2 weeks now). Another reviewer commented on the scrolling, and has a solution posted equally well. Afterwards a match hours of use, I have no trouble utilising the touchpad (have eve played Portal 2 a bit with it).
The performance is amazing, the entirely thing slowing it down is the hard drive. I get SSDs in my other machines, thence the difference is moderately apparent to me. I’ll selection up an SSD and build this the perfect small laptop.
Battery life is equally advertised. I conveyed it in to mold one daytime and downloaded completely of Portal 2, OpenSUSE 11.4 ISO, and Office, wholly while doing normal browsing with max brightness. I continued to bite and install OpenSUSE, and the battery yet lasted roughly 6.5 hours. I was impressed.
The screen is definitely bright. I applied it in a motorcar with sunshine coming through the window with no issues. Equally most, I’d prefer a matte screen, but any glare on this is barely noticeable, I didn’t eventide believe virtually it while utilising it in the sun. I merely4 advert it because I merely6 read a ThinkPad brushup that had me thinking near it.
I observed above that I played Portal 2 on it, yup! Works amend than I expected, the sandy bridge i5 R835-P56x is a beast!
