Bought this transported exterior strenuously drive to back up my aperture photo library on my mac pro. The reason i wanted a transported hdd was to keep a back up of my photo library off-site by doing a back up once a week.mounting to a mac running os x 10.5.8 (leopard) was no problem moreover the drive was immediately detected moreover shown as toshiba. The box states Toshiba HDDR640E04XR Drive congruent with os x 10.4 moreover windows xp/vista moreover will presumably work with a windows 7 moreover a linux os. The usb 2.0 interface is fast moreover the drive itself does not require exterior boss as it comes from the usb interface. The usb 2.0 cable is included with this hdd, although its short. When accessing the drive for read/write there is a blue led which indicates activity. The well-mannered thing is that this drive doesn’t seem to reach hot moreover aesthetically is quite appealing in its blue color. Fit moreover finish is superb as well.
